The hotel has a well-stocked bar and a restaurant that serves light lunches and dinners, as well as breakfast.
There is also an outdoor swimming pool and a 2-room spa offering a variety of relaxing and therapeutic treatments (additional charges apply).
The hotel has 2 separate computer stations with printers and 24-hour internet access. Wireless internet access is available, free of charge, throughout the hotel.
All of the windows are double-glazed to minimize outside noise.
There is an on-site secure parking area, available free of charge for guests’ use.

The hotel has 7 luxurious en suite rooms, one of which is a family room - making the Sugar Hotel one of the very few luxury boutique hotels that accommodate children of all ages.
All of the rooms are carpeted and equipped with: LG Artcool air conditioning, a 32-inch LCD flat panel TV, a DVD player and CD sound system, satellite TV, a completely silent glass-front minibar fridge, a digital safe, tea and coffee making facilities, built-in international plug sockets, hairdryers and cordless telephones. Each room has an internet connection point and wireless internet access is also available. Internet access is free of charge.
The en suite bathrooms have under-floor heating, double vanities with glass basins, separate shower and bath and a dedicated filtered water tap for drinking water.
Food & beverage
The restaurant and bar is exclusively for the guests of the hotel.
Breakfast is served from 07:00 onwards, with light lunches being served from 12:00 and dinner available from 18:00 until 23:00.
The well-stocked Sugar Bar offers a wide selection of alcoholic beverages and non-alcoholic drinks. The bar has a closing time of 02:00 for those who would like to enjoy the finer whiskeys and brandies on offer.

Green Point lies on the edge of the city centre and just behind the V&A Waterfront. It is a vibrant, lively area both during the day and night.
Green Point is currently the hub of Cape Town's top restaurants and night life. A new development (The Cape Quarter) has completely revitalized the area, and brought the thronging crowds back into Green Point.
Victoria & Alfred Waterfront (1 km) - Situated in the heart of Cape Town’s working harbour, the Victoria & Alfred Waterfront is well-established as Cape Town’s premier shopping and tourist destination. Boutiques, restaurants, hotels, outdoor theatre and leisure cruises are just a few of the many attractions on offer.
Travel information
By Car:
- Enter Cape Town city centre on either the N2 (from Cape Town International Airport) or N1 (from Paarl or Stellenbosch) national roads.
- Pass the Cape Town International Convention Centre on your left-hand side, arriving at the first large traffic light intersection with Coen Steytler Avenue (also the main entrance to the V&A Waterfront).
- Continue over this intersection until the second traffic light intersection with Hans Strydom Avenue. You will now be driving along Buitengracht Street.
- At the next set of traffic lights, (i.e. the third set), turn right into Somerset Road.
- Continue along Somerset Road, through two sets of traffic lights, looking out for two tall palm trees and the Sugar Hotel sign on your left-hand side.
- Immediately after the palm trees, turn left into Boundary Road and the Sugar Hotel is the first building on your right-hand side.
- Enter through the glass and wood door, prior to the large black roller door.
- Press the intercom on your left-hand side to announce your arrival.
Important information
In the event of premature departure the full extent of stay as originally booked and confirmed will be charged.
Payment Information:
- All bookings must be made in writing and only written confirmations will be honoured.
- A deposit of 20% will secure your reservation.
- The balance of accommodation account is payable in full, at least 4 weeks prior to the date of arrival.
- Bookings made less than 4 weeks prior to date of arrival must be paid in full within 3 working days.
- Bookings made less than 1 week prior to date of arrival must be paid in full immediately.
- No guest will be allowed to check into the hotel unless the accommodation on a bed and breakfast basis and all other pre-booked meals and services are paid for in full.
- Provisional reservations will be held for a maximum of 5 days, after which, if no confirmation and deposit is received, the provisional reservation will be released.
- Payment by credit card will attract an additional charge of 3% on Mastercard or Visa and 5% on Amex and Dinners, to cover bank commission
- Bookings made less than 4 weeks prior to date of arrival must be paid in full within 3 working days.
- Refunds and waiver of cancellation policies are at the discretion of management and the ability to re-let the rooms.
The price excludes:
- All drinks and all meals other than breakfast.
- Spa treatments.
- Telephone calls, tips, laundry, gratuities, shop purchases and other personal expenses.
